Dubai, UAE, April 2023 – Dubai International Arbitration Centre (DIAC) is pleased to announce the reformation of a new court comprising thirteen reputable international arbitration experts representing 11 nationalities. The newly appointed members bring a wealth of experience in arbitration across different sectors and geographies, demonstrating DIAC’s commitment to providing exceptional dispute resolution services that embody excellence, integrity, and equity.
The reformed court comprises esteemed members, including Dr. Michael Pryles AO PBM – President of DIAC Arbitration Court, Erin Miller Rankin – Vice President of DIAC Arbitration Court, Dr. Hassan Arab, Abdulwahid Alulama, Mohammed Rashed Alsuwaidi, Professor Albert Van den Berg, Professor Emilia Onyema, Hiroo Advani, Ilya Nikiforov, Ning FEI, Dr. Rouven F. Bodenheimer, Rupert Reed KC, and Wendy Miles KC.
DIAC’s new court plays a vital role in the supervision of case administration and the proper application of DIAC’s arbitration rules. The reformation of the court significantly improves DIAC’s case management processes and procedures and further boosts the Centre’s arbitration services. This change also represents its Board of Directors’ commitment to enhancing the efficiency and efficacy of arbitration as a dispute resolution method, further reinforcing DIAC’s position as the leading arbitration centre in Dubai.
